I am of Spanish and British nationality. My father has never spoken to me in Spanish. I have worked for, among others, the World Economic Forum, where I did live translations of all the speakers’ conferences.
I currently work as a translator for National Geographic Spain, where I translate an average of three stories per day from English into Spanish. I also translate my own articles (click here for an example/ejemplo). I also collaborate with the Catalan translation company Treeloc, where I translate from English to Spanish for Microsoft software. In almost all of my jobs, translation has been a key aspect: at press conferences in Catalan during my two years in Barcelona, for the French news website Melty or during videoconferences with university professors during my time as an instructional designer at Global Alumni. As a journalist, I use sources in English almost every day.
